The Long Barn
The Long Barn is the larger of our two cottages and of single story construction. The building has been carefully restored to provide a high standard of holiday accommodation for up to five persons whilst retaining all of the original features and is fully insulated, double glazed and provided with electric central heating.
There
is a large comfortable lounge with solid oak flooring and vaulted
ceiling with exposed beams, two twin-seater sofas and a third twin
sofa that converts to a four foot double bed to provide sleeping
accommodation for five persons should this be required. The lounge
has a colour television/video recorder a DVD player and freeview
viewer, a radio/cd player and attractive furnishings. A separate
hallway leads to the rear garden.
The sleeping accommodation comprises a master double bedroom, second bedroom with two single beds, a spacious hallway leading to a modern bathroom with shower cubicle and heated towel rail. Both bedrooms have double wardrobes and a dressing table and mirror in matching pine furniture and a hair dryer is provided in the master bedroom.
The
modern kitchen is fully equipped and includes an electric oven,
electric hob with chimney ventilation, microwave oven, refrigerator
with freezer compartment, front-loading washing machine and
dishwasher. A tumble drier is available for guests’ use in an
adjacent outbuilding.
Bed linen and towels are provided weekly inclusive in the price and electricity is also free of charge.
Outside
the cottage has wonderful views towards Church Preen, The Wrekin and
surrounding countryside, There is a large garden area to the back
provided with garden furniture and a barbeque. Safe parking for two
cars is available directly to the front of The Long Barn.
